The Wheelwrights Arms Country Inn is nestled in the peaceful village of Monkton Combe and surrounded by picturesque hills and valleys.

Our two buildings were originally constructed by William Harold, a carpenter, who built a house and workshop circa 1750. In 1871 William Harold III converted the house into a public house and in 1981 the workshops were converted into bed and breakfast accommodation. A full history is available when you come and visit.

We can now offer treatments by a fully qualified and insured therapist. Using certified organic and chemical free products. Please book all treatments prior to your stay to avoid disappointment. Click here to find out more.

Rooms for £95 a night Sunday to Thursday until 25 June 2009.

Featured in the Michelin Eating Out In Pubs 2009 guide, Alistair Sawday’s British Hotels and Inns as well as the Pubs and Inns of England and Wales.
